Why You Should Consider a Network Marketing Partnership

When most people start their own network marketing business, they do so on their own. That is, they are in business for themselves and work as their sole employee. Unfortunately, most network marketing first-timers don’t even consider the possibility of starting their business with a partner. While I’m not necessarily advocating this as the “right” way, it is certainly worth some consideration.

Here are just a few reasons why starting a network marketing partnership is worth serious consideration:

A Bigger Downline Faster.

It only makes sense that if all partners are pulling their weight, the ‘business’ will grow much faster than if it were a sole proprietorship. Let’s say you partner with two other motivated people, and all three of you give the business 100 percent of your effort. That’s the equivalent of one person giving 300 percent, which isn’t possible.

Some say, “But those three people are also splitting their profits three ways, so they’re not making any more money than they would if they were on their own.” True, but in this business, getting that first surge is the key. Once you build a solid organization that is a few levels deep, it takes on a life of its own. And the sooner you get it to that point, the sooner it’ll start feeling like passive income.

Specialization of Tasks.

Most people have certain skills they’re good at, and some they’re not. By partnering with someone (or multiple people) who have great skills where you fall short – and vica-versa – you’ll be free to do what you do best without worrying about the other stuff.

Let’s say you’re great at turning warm leads into signups, but not at cold calling or managing your network once you get them signed up. So you start a partnership with two other people, one that is good at cold calling and the other that is good at managing the network. See how that works? Your network marketing business is now ran by specialists. In this case, the whole is much greater than the sum of its parts.

Work More Efficiently.

Assuming you successfully divide the labor amongst ’specialists’ like I mentioned above, your network marketing partnership will grow much faster than if the three of you simply combined resources. Why? Because we are much more efficient at tasks we are good at.

Dividing the labor frees you up to focus on what you’re good at, which means you’ll actually get more work done. How? You won’t get bogged down in the other ’stuff.’ Most people devote more time to what they’re NOT good at because it’s the best way to stay balanced, meaning you’ll spend much less time focusing on your true talents. A good partnership turns this around.

Going back to our hypothetical example, if you are great at managing warm leads, you’ll probably spend more time working cold leads and managing the network. Which makes sense, because you’re naturally more efficient at warm leads. And even though that phase makes up a third of your tasks, you’ll probably only spend 10 percent of your time doing it.

Now imagine spending nearly 100 percent of your time managing warm leads! Even though you’re still spending the same amount of total time, you’re focusing on your natural talents, which means you’re actually getting much more work accomplished.

Conclusions.

A partnership with one or more individuals is a great way to get your network marketing business off to a much faster start, so long as the partnership is built around good skill sets.

    Can a husband/wife team be a partnership? Or are you talking about two non-related people?

    Absolutely! If each person has a unique skill set, it’s perfect. And the best part is that 100% of the profit stays in the family. Also, if you’re just starting out, each of you could focus on LEARNING and MASTERING different aspects of MLM.
