There’s a saying, “You can never learn too much,” and I truly believe that; and one of the best ways too learn even more about building a successful business is to pick up a couple of Books On Network Marketing.
A good colleague of mine once told me that he equates building a successful business to learning a new subject in school. At first the subject might seem foreign, or even challenge your world views. But as you learn more, you become more comfortable with the core materials, meaning you can eventually move on to more complicated studies.
I love that philosophy. The way I look at is this: At first you’ll learn the very basics, which most people learn along side you – think of this as attending elementary and prep schools. Once you’ve mastered that, you move on to more advanced concepts – think of this as college. Then you’ll move on to Graduate School and even eventually earn a Ph.D.
Now that I’ve laid that out, think about this: how many people don’t even make it through high school? A surprising amount. How many go on to college? Not a very high percentage. Now, how many end up with a doctorate? Very, very few.
But if you’re willing to study hard, learn new materials, challenge yourself and your views and maintain an learning-based personality, you might just earn a symbolic Ph.D. in Network Marketing!
How? By absorbing as much new information as possible. It doesn’t mean you have to take all of it to heart, but it’s important to get fresh, new perspectives of basic and advanced network marketing systems from time to time. I like to think this website is one such place to do so, but there is another great source: A bookstore.
Next time you’re at your local bookstore, or even browsing Amazon online, take a peek at the Network Marketing selection. You’ll probably be surprised at the amount of titles. Pick one up, put it on the back of your toilet or your nightstand, and read it. Maybe you’ll find something interesting.
What if you’re not big into reading? No problem, most books have an audio option, aka “Books On Tape.” Pick up a CD or download the audio file, listen to it in your car or iPod, and get a fresh new perspective on building a successful MLM company.

It seems like no book list would be complete without something from the “For Dummies” camp. But don’t let the title and namesake fool you, this is a great book to get you up on your feet fast, and shows you some great steps in building a solid foundation for growth, higher income percentages and so much more. It’s one of my favorite guilty pleasures.
These titles are just the tip of the iceberg. My general philosophy is that there’s no such thing as learning too much, even if you choose not to apply certain concepts. In fact, that’s actually the true trick to building a successful MLM business: learning as much as you can, then filtering out the best of the best.
There are countless books on network marketing, so go out and start reading.
