Chances are, you’ve heard the terms: Network Marketing, MLM, Mutli Level and other similar phrases, but do you really know what they mean? And more importantly, do you know how they can make you money?
Most people are familiar with – or at least have heard about – the network marketing business model. It’s a very simple yet powerful method that reduces overhead cost in terms of middle men (like warehouses, retailer outlets and more) and in turn rewards the distributors who are out pounding the street. Though it is often given several names, like Network Marketing, MLM, Multi Level and others, they all are the same system.
You’ve probably heard plenty of rumors about network marketing, ranging from the extremely good “I make a million dollars a day” to the extremely bad “Network marketing is a scam and nobody ever makes any real money.”
Can You Make Money?
The short answer is: Yes.

So many people sign up with a network marketing company and then just expect to earn passive income. This isn’t the case at all. Unfortunately, many of these people are led to believe this by overly aggressive upline sponsors who are willing to say anything for a sign up. As you’ve probably guessed, these sponsor types don’t keep people in their downline for long, as people get frustrated and leave very quickly thanks to unfulfilled promises (hint: when you go looking for leads, don’t do this!)
Other people have much more determination, and work themselves to the bone, but don’t see any meaningful results. Why not? Because they’re not focused – or at the very least, they aren’t focused on techniques that actually work. I’ve seen this one so many times: a new sign up jumps into their business with great gusto, they’re propositioning people everywhere, and might even get a few sign ups as a result, but by and large they don’t. Instead they see a very minimal return on a great deal of effort.
Hard work is only part of the bigger equation. Focusing that hard work into proven techniques is the other half. Otherwise you’re just spinning your wheels, which will frustrate you very, very quickly.
Network Marketing Strategies
It seems as though there are a million people pushing “Get Rich With Network Marketing, MLM, Mutli Level Marketing, Anything Else They Can Come Up With.” The reality is that there is no one secret strategy that will make you successful overnight, or even in a month. If you want to make money with network marketing, you must realize that this is a marathon, not a sprint. And the key to winning this race with a nice big passive income is to treat every day as another couple of yards – nothing more, nothing less.
That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t work hard, because you definitely must. At least at first. But keep in mind that there is a big difference between jockeying for position at the front of a long-distance race than there is sprinting with every muscle in your body as soon as the starting gun shoots.
