You know what I hated most about my day job? Dragging myself out of bed and fighting traffic so I could “make something of myself” by working for an overbearing boss who got rich off my hard work.
It took me a long, long while before I finally gave up the corporate slave job in favor of self employment, but I haven’t looked back. Funny thing is that I should have gave it up long before I did, but I kept telling myself “I need a job” and “A job is a responsible lifestyle.” Hogwash. What’s so responsible about working your butt off for some guy who not only makes a profit from your efforts, but keeps demanding more and more?
Why Network Marketing?
I’ll be honest, I didn’t just straight from my career job into network marketing. I actually started off as a marketing consultant, initially helping start-up businesses get their feet off the ground. Then I was lucky enough to help a colleague of mine “add some 21st century zest” to his network marketing business – which lead to more and more people coming to me to help out with their MLM businesses. Because I didn’t start out as a network marketer, I was able to approach the business from an entirely different perspective. Needless to say, my clients’ businesses began booming, thanks largely in part to the non-traditional MLM marketing strategies I had them try.
But that’s besides the point. The real reason why I like network marketing so much is because YOU are the boss. Yes, that’s right. YOU work for YOU. What’s better is that the people underneath you sort of work for you, too. When you make sales, money goes into your pocket. And when people in your downline make sales, money also goes into your pocket.
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see how powerful the network marketing model is. The bigger your downline, the more money you make. Get a big enough downline, and you don’t even have to work anymore, you can relax on the beach while the people below you provide your income.
No more waking up before dawn to fight traffic, no more nagging and ungrateful bosses, no more dragging yourself through life by the bootstraps.
Hopefully my story has given you a good reason why you should join network marketing, too.
