MLM Downline

Your MLM Downline is what will make you money in the long term. Once you’ve got a solid downline in place, you’ll start noticing some very solid passive income.

Think of your MLM Downline as the roots of your business. The bigger your root system, the more stable your home business is. And more importantly, the more money you’ll make.

What Is An MLM Downline?

An MLM downline is, in the most basic terms, the entire network of people you have personally signed into the network marketing company PLUS all the people that those people have signed up. You can see how powerful this system is. Let’s say you’ve signed up only five people, but those people each signed up five people underneath them. Your MLM downline consists of all of them. This means that instead of 5 people, you’ve got 25 people PLUS the original 5 people, making your downline add up to 30. Now imagine if those 5 people each sign up five people, and those five people sign up five more people. See how fast that compounds?

Why A Big MLM Downline is Important?

There are two main reasons why it’s important to build a good sized organization:

Bigger Revenues. This is probably self-explanatory, but the more people you have “working” for you, the bigger your commission paychecks.

More Stability. Think of your downline as a mutual fund. There will be some months when certain people sell really well, and certain months when they don’t. The bigger your downline, the better the odds of the high performers balancing out the low performers.

MLM Secrets

Many people ask me for successful MLM Secrets, and while there is no one “magical formula” there are a couple of easy tricks that will quickly make your business soar without much effort on your part.

Some people say there are no MLM secrets, be they strategies, tips, or whatever. They’ll say the only MLM secrets are hard work and perseverance. While I strongly agree with the latter, I think the former is very, very wrong. While I agree in theory that one does have to work hard to build a successful MLM home business, it’s much more important to work smart, not work hard.

Working Smarter Vs. Working Harder

What would you rather do? Spend 10 hours per day pounding the pavement at your local mall or coffee shop prospecting like a madman and hoping to sign up a couple of people per week (or month)? Or would you rather spend 2 hours setting up an automated system that makes leads come to you?

Some people call working 2 hours one time “lazy” compared to working 10 hours per day, everyday. I call those people idiots. It’s a no-brainer. I (and I’m assuming the rest of the world) would much rather spend less time and get better results than spending more time and poor results.

So that’s one of my biggest MLM Secrets: Work Smart, not hard.

Don’t Be Afraid To Buy Leads

One of my other big MLM secrets is buying leads from leads list companies. Many people frown on this, but in my opinion its a great way to get a gigantic list of potential warm leads without spending hours and hours out prospecting. Will you still need to contact them and give them your pitch? Absolutely. But it does save a tremendous amount of time.

Not to mention that if you’re the type of person who doesn’t like prospecting, buying MLM leads is a great way to grow a business without stepping too far out of your comfort zone.

Why You Should Join Network Marketing

You know what I hated most about my day job? Dragging myself out of bed and fighting traffic so I could “make something of myself” by working for an overbearing boss who got rich off my hard work.

It took me a long, long while before I finally gave up the corporate slave job in favor of self employment, but I haven’t looked back. Funny thing is that I should have gave it up long before I did, but I kept telling myself “I need a job” and “A job is a responsible lifestyle.” Hogwash. What’s so responsible about working your butt off for some guy who not only makes a profit from your efforts, but keeps demanding more and more?

Why Network Marketing?

I’ll be honest, I didn’t just straight from my career job into network marketing. I actually started off as a marketing consultant, initially helping start-up businesses get their feet off the ground. Then I was lucky enough to help a colleague of mine “add some 21st century zest” to his network marketing business – which lead to more and more people coming to me to help out with their MLM businesses. Because I didn’t start out as a network marketer, I was able to approach the business from an entirely different perspective. Needless to say, my clients’ businesses began booming, thanks largely in part to the non-traditional MLM marketing strategies I had them try.

But that’s besides the point. The real reason why I like network marketing so much is because YOU are the boss. Yes, that’s right. YOU work for YOU. What’s better is that the people underneath you sort of work for you, too. When you make sales, money goes into your pocket. And when people in your downline make sales, money also goes into your pocket.

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see how powerful the network marketing model is. The bigger your downline, the more money you make. Get a big enough downline, and you don’t even have to work anymore, you can relax on the beach while the people below you provide your income.

No more waking up before dawn to fight traffic, no more nagging and ungrateful bosses, no more dragging yourself through life by the bootstraps.

Hopefully my story has given you a good reason why you should join network marketing, too.
